Liang Fan-rong, was born in December, 1956, and now serves as a professor and supervisor of graduates in the field of acupuncture and moxibustion. As a leading expert of the state-level key specialty of acupuncture and Tuina science, he has been receiving the State Department’s special allowance.
Once he served as a group member of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) branch in reviewing National Natural Science Foundation programs, a reviewer for National Awards for Science and Technology in TCM field. He is currently the vice chairman of the Chinese Association of Acupuncture and Moxibustion(CAAM), the chairman of Sichuan Association of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, the chief scientist of National Basic Research Program of China (973 Program).
Prof. Liang started to engage himself in clinical practice in 1974. He was awarded with his bachelor’s degree of medicine in Hunan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. After graduation, he became a teacher there.
In 1984, he was then admitted to China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, and continued his graduate study with his supervisor Wang Xue-tai, a renowned professor in acupuncture and moxibustion. And he graduated with his master’s degree in 1987.After that, he came to Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine for work. From 1991 to 1994, he followed the famous acupuncture doctor Prof. Yang Jie-bing to learn his clinical experience, and issued with a certification.
Prof. Liang once undertook as the head of Acupuncture Department, the president of Acupuncture and Tuina College, the director of Acupuncture Research Institute. And he is now the vice president of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
He has already been responsible for 36 researches of the national 973 program, the 10th Five Years Key Program, the National Science & Technology Pillar Program and the National Natural Science Foundation Program.
More than 160 academic papers form him have been published at home and abroad, among which 21 articles are included by SCI; 23 monographs have been put out, and he served as the chief editor for 12 works, and vice chief editor for 5 works.
He was the prize-winner of the Awards for Science and Technology in Sichuan Province, and he got the first prize for one time, the second prize for four times, the third prize for two times. Besides, he was once honored with the second prize of national award for education, and obtained the first teaching award in Sichuan Province for twice and the second prize for twice.

梁繁荣：男，1956年12月生，针灸学教授、博士生导师，享受国务院特殊津贴专家，国家重点学科针灸推拿学学术带头人。先后任中国自然科学基金委员会中医中药学科评议组成员、中国中医药科技进步奖评审委员、中国针灸学会副会长、四川省针灸学会会长、国家重大基础研究项目（973计划）首席科学家等职。l974年开始从事医疗工作，1977年就读于湖南中医学院医疗系，获医学学士学位。毕业后留湖南中医学院执教。1984年考入中国中医研究院，在著名针灸学家王雪苔教授门下攻读针灸学研究生，1987毕业并获医学硕士学位。尔后来成都中医药大学工作，1991年拜著名针灸学家扬介宾教授为师，系统跟师学习名老中医临床经验3年，1994年获出师证书。先后任成都中医药大学针灸系主任、针灸推拿学院院长、针灸推拿研究所所长、成都中医药大学副校长。先后主持国家“973计划”、“十五”攻关项目、国家支撑计划项目、国家自然科学基金重点项目和面上项目等课题36项；在国内外学术期刊上发表论文160余篇，其中SCI收录21篇；出版专著23部，其中主编12部，副主编5部；获部省级科技进步奖1项、二等奖4项、三等奖2项；获国家级教学成果二等奖1项、省教学成果一等奖2项、二等奖2项。先后担任国家科技进步奖评审专家、国家自然科学基金生命科学部专家评审组成员等。
