OCTCM DOCTORS GIVE FREE MEDICAL AND SEMINAR
ACTIVITY FOR
VICTIMS OF SICHUAN EARTHQUAKE
The Ontario College of
Traditional Chinese Medicine (OCTCM) and New Canadian
Community Centre (NCCC) reaches out with care to the victims
of the Sichuan earthquake, by giving free medical treatments
and holding a charity event on May 17, 2008 and May 24, 2008
at the Metropolitan Square, Scarborough.
The Executive Director of NCCC
and President of OCTCM, Professor Ben Wu, lead a group of TCM
doctors, and gave free medical treatments to the public.
Service included: Dr. Wu’s Head Massage, Ancient Method of
Soothing the Meridian and the Diagnostic, etc. The group of
TCM doctors included: Hsui Lei Ya, Zhang Yi Ling, James Huang,
David Pan and Tse Jin Yan. During the busy times, the donators
even needed to line up.
The volunteers of NCCC, donated
and auctioned plenty of toys, gift, and winning paintings for
the charity. The winner of the 6th Senior Festival,
Mr. Wu, personally painted a piece of artwork for the charity
too. The charity auction made C$2,361.74 and RMB¥100. NCCC
donated C$1,992.10, totalling to C$4,352.87 overall and was
sent to The Consulate of Republic China on May 19th,
2008. This event was to show the care from Chinese Medical
practitioners and Mandarin speaking community to the victims
of Sichuan earthquake.
Continuous charity events will
be held on May 24, 2008 (Saturday), from 11:00am to 5:00pm at
the Metropolitan Square, Scarborough. A free health seminar will be held
from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, topic including: Wu’s Head Massage and
Rejuvenation of TCM.

show more love to the victims of Sichuan earthquake.
