BENJAMIN WU SCHOLARSHIP

 

Objectives

Dr. Wu Binjiang, the President of the Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine set up "Benjamin Wu Scholarship" to encourage students to improve their English Language Proficiency specifically in this field and be willing to share their knowledge in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Target applicants

· * Undergraduates, Masters, Doctors and Chinese medicine practitioners who are already experienced in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Mainland China who wanted to improve their professional English level in Ontario College of Traditional Medicine (OCTCM), Ontario, Canada

· * Applicants should have both the ability and integrity; a healthy body and a sense of responsibility to promote the Traditional Chinese Medicine. They must meet certain professional English level of Traditional Chinese Medicine and must have the potential for this training.

Applicant requirements

· * Curriculum vitae and academic transcripts

· * Letter of recommendation from two (2) Chinese medicine professors

Award amount

· * One (1) full-year scholarship (approx. 15,000 U.S. dollars) for one academic year (two semesters) of tuition fee for each program (Herbal Medicine,

Acupuncture, Tui Na, Qi Gong, and Osteopathy)

Relevant information

· * Examinations will be required to all applicants after the review of documents had been made

· * Certification from Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine will only be given after the student has to meet all requirements for the program

· * Students have to sign a contract stating that they will definitely go back to China after completing it

· * Students who will get the scholarship have to devote their time and effort to study and have to comply with Canadian laws and regulations of Ontario

College of Traditional Chinese Medicine

· * Even though a student will be granted the scholarship but will not able to attend the program, the scholarship will be canceled
