This is a comprehensive, one day (8 hour) class that meets Ontario Health & Safety (OHS) legislative requirements, and is recognised by the Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB). As a certified First Aider, you will be prepared with the latest First Aid knowledge to respond to emergencies in the workplace and in the public.

This is a hands-on course that will prepare you to safely respond to sudden emergency situations with First Aid and CPR. You will need to attend the entirety of the class, demonstrate your training (practical examination), as well as complete a written test (minimum 75% passing mark). You will learn to recognise and respond to heart-related emergencies, be certified to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and safely tend to injuries. You will also receive a Red Cross First Aid & CPR Manual and certificate.

NOTE:

All participants will be required to be on their knees, and to roll and lay on the floor during practical skills sessions.

For safety reasons, all participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and shoes during training.

Capital City Safety Training will not be responsible for any injuries or accidents for pregnant students during the training. The decision to take part in the training rests solely on the student's discretion. For pregnant participants, a medical clearance note is needed prior to the start of the course for safety reasons.
