Intro Seminar: What is Qi & Meridians

If you have ever wondered how acupuncture works, this is your chance to find out! You will be able to engage with our speaker in a lively presentation that covers one of several topics in traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture. This is your chance to speak with our practitioners and ask them anything.

Qi translates to vapor or steam, and it flows through our bodies in a series of channels called the meridian system. It has been documented in ancient Chinese medical text thousands of years ago. Find out how traditional Chinese medicine practitioners and acupuncturists heal by skillfully diagnosing and manipulating qi through the meridian system to start the healing process.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Nada Ashkar has had many years of training in martial arts, is a classically trained taijiquan and qigong instructor, a meditation facilitator, and a licensed acupuncturist. She is passionate about the philosophy as well as the craft. In her practice, she has treated a wide range of illnesses, both chronic and acute conditions by manipulating the qi along the meridians. Her treatments is not limited with acupuncture needles; other methods include, tuina massage, moxibustion, cupping, and counselling.

Nada has a particular interest in assisting her patients to make sustainable healthy changes to balance their mind and body. These adjustments supports her patients’ transition allowing them to thrive and promote their spiritual alignment. Learn more about Nada at www.nadaashkar.ca.
