COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course utilizes the various hand manipulations learned in Tuina Theory & Techniques and applies them to the whole body. Particular attention is paid to where and how each technique is applied, the degree of pressure used, and stimuli and expected bodily responses. Students also learn how to achieve the strength and skill necessary to administer tuina effectively. 

INSTRUCTOR BIO:

Paul Pei, R.TCMP, R.Ac

Paul Pei is a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner and Acupuncturist with over 35 years of clinical experience in Toronto. He has maintained a private practice since 1989 and has extensive experience in both clinical practice and TCM education.

Paul has taught TCM for many years at institutions including the Shiatsu School of Canada, The Michener Institute, Humber College, and the Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. His teaching experience covers a wide range of subjects, including Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, Chinese Herbal Medicine, and Tuina. He has been an instructor at OCTCM since 2019.

With his strong clinical background and extensive teaching experience, Paul brings a practical, hands-on approach to Tuina, helping students develop both the techniques and clinical understanding needed to apply Tuina effectively in practice.
