COURSE DESCRIPTION

Curious about alternative medicines? Interested in learning how practises in Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine can help improve immune system function and support respiratory health?

Please come and enjoy a cup of chai while Mamta Pranjivan and Aline Yon share their knowledge of Ayurvedic and Traditional Chinese healthcare modalities.

Mamta will explain the fundamental Ayurvedic concepts of health, disease prevention and management with a focus on the root causes of susceptibility to influenza viruses. She will discuss ways to promote healthy digestive, immune and respiratory systems and how to assist the body's natural tendency towards health and wellbeing.

With her passion for using food as medicine and kitchen pharmacy, she will share comforting food recipes and how to utilize digestive and immune enhancing spices and herbs for flu, colds, congestion and hayfever during the Winter-Spring seasonal shift.

Aline will be presenting on how Chinese medicine views the immune and respiratory systems. She will address how to take care of them throughout the year, according to your constitution. She will discuss the benefits of acupuncture, moxibustion, nutrition, and qigong alongside simple tips to implement in your daily life to maintain overall health and wellbeing.
