INSTRUCTOR BIOGRAPHY:

Michael La, BSc, RMT, is a clinical educator and practitioner specializing in the integration of functional neuroanatomy and manual therapy. A graduate of McMaster University’s Bachelor of Science program and the McMaster Contemporary Acupuncture Program, Michael has dedicated his career to understanding the multi-faceted nature of physical dysfunction.
With a deep clinical background that spans multidisciplinary rehab centers and athletic performance clinics, Michael has developed a reputation for his systematic approach to patient care. He has served as an instructor for foundational electroacupuncture at the Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (OCTCM) and has spent years assisting in the teaching of Exstore motor point courses. This unique combination of teaching and clinical work allows him to bridge the gap between complex anatomical theory and high-level practical application.
In his upcoming course, "Intro to Electroacupuncture: Motor Points and Muscle Testing," Michael caters specifically to TCM practitioners looking to add to their orthopedic skill set. He moves beyond simple point protocols, focusing on objective muscle testing to identify "off-line" tissues and utilizing precise electroacupuncture to restore proper motor function. Michael’s goal is to empower practitioners with a repeatable, evidence-based framework that enhances the efficacy of their traditional treatments and delivers immediate, measurable results for their patients.
